Returns & Warranty Policy

This policy applies to all purchases delivered within South Africa. If you have any questions, please email support@locknalert.co.za.

Returns (Non-Defective Products)

You may return your LocknAlert device if it’s unused and in new condition:

  • Returns accepted within 7 days from delivery.
  • Product must be new, unused, and in original packaging.
  • Exchanges are not available for non-defective items — refunds only.
  • Returns may be sent by courier (mail) or delivered to an approved drop-off location.
  • The customer is responsible for the return label and shipping.
  • A 30% restocking fee applies on non-defective returns.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Refunds are processed within 7 business days after inspection.

1-Year Warranty (Defective Products)

All LocknAlert devices include a 12-month warranty against defects in materials or workmanship:

  • If your unit is defective, LocknAlert will arrange free courier collection within South Africa.
  • We will test the unit on receipt.
  • If confirmed faulty, we will exchange it with a replacement unit at no cost.
  • If not faulty, courier costs (to us and back to you) will be billed to the customer.

How to Start a Return or Warranty Claim

Email support@locknalert.co.za with:

  • Your order number
  • Reason for return or description of the fault (photos/videos help speed things up)
  • Your contact details and preferred method (courier or drop-off)
